Original Resources
This is the original resource file. Start with these to make your own custom resources, or have them as a backup in case yours get messed up.  DO NOT use these for your own unrelated projects without asking me.  Making fan-games or YTMNDs are fine, but try to mention Ace the Super Villain or Rune Star in there somewhere.

Submission Rules:
If you want your totally awesome custom resources up here with the rest of the party, you'll have to send it in by these rules:

Either e-mail me at rayth@sbcglobal.net or PM AceSuperVillain on the GMC forums with your custom resource file.

Preferably format your custom resources in the same manor as they are in the default resources, gifs for character sprites and pngs for backgrounds.  If they are in any other formats, I will alter them to fit the original formating, because that's how they need to be for Rune Star to detect them.  DO NOT send me bitmaps.  Jpegs have a tendency to weird out, but if yours don't then that's perfectly okay (if they do, I'm not going to fix them).

Alright, from newst to oldest, here's what I've got so far! If you want to see them chronologically, start at the bottom.

Our third third costume (heh), goes to the Warlord!

This features the Captain's eyepatch and halberd in the normal trooper, allied trooper and super trooper colorations. Once again in multi-frame to save space. I tried to tamper with the cD attack effects. I can't say I'm pleased with the results, if you feel like making something better, be my guest. (the original uses alternating inverted colors if you want to try changing it back to the original)

I am happy to announce the second third costume for any character, a new Legionary outfit!

Sort of a Chinese Amazon type appearance. Maybe. The skirt might be a bit dicey... I feel like I should have added some hair-buns and maybe done something with the sword, but I guess that's just something I can save for a future costume.

Been a while, but the folks at the GMC have come up with two new sheets for you:
Here's a redone Psychon with a skirt by GMC's peterrab

And here's a very psychedelic Juggernaut by edgespear

Thank you very much guys!

A new alternate costume for the Reaper jobclass! It isn't really all that different I admit, but it looks cool, so here it is. 3 colors are available here, (all in the same gif to save space on the page) a brownish barbarian girl look, an orc/goblin girl and a more sci-fi looking suit with an under garment.

This landmarks the first third costume for any character! Also, doesn't it seem like there've been kind of a lot of Reaper costumes made so far? Are we all falling under her dark spell?

vadim647 delivers again with 3 new sheets! Here's the HellHunter

Another Night Elf

And Frozen Warrior

3 excellent new sheets by vadim647 again. The first also hail from the planet of the Night Elves, a 'Techie' and 'Commander':

And lastly, this Warlord fella. Sort of looks like an effeminate oni I guess?

A nice looking Templar by GMC's Neoxer. I had to make some changes to format and I don't know if the colors came out quite right. The color scheme kinda reminds me of Super Man. A Templar faster than a speeding bullet? That could get weird...

And yet another Reaper by vadim647 of the GMC. Night Elf colors. I think this coloration would fit in pretty well with the Frozen Blood crowd.

Another Alternate Reaper done by masterofhisowndomain from the GMC. Some very nice colors as well as a soft glowing effect that brings out the edges nicely.

This is an alternate colorization of the Reaper character, although to me, this is the original colorization of the Reaper, it's how I usually think of her as looking.  In the default Reaper, I used blue hair because it's easier to see against the black lines than black hair is, and I added the netting  in the original so that it would be easy to colorize later.

Frozen Blood Colors:

These are the colorizations used in Frozen Blood for Brand(Psychon), Jormund(Juggernaut) and Crystal's two unnamed accomplices.  Lots of whites and blues in these to match Frozen Blood's icy theme, as well as Brand's cool shadow sword design.  Flare and Crystal's colors aren't here because they were used in the default color set.

Well, this is it for Custom Resources so far.  I'm sorry to say this, but if you want more, you'll just have to get off your lazy butt and make them yourself.

You may be wondering what to do with your custom resources once you've downloaded them. Open up the original sprite gif (c1rss.gif, c2rss.gif, etc) from the gfx folder with an animated gif editor(like Game Maker or Gimp, Paint will not cut it) and paste the new sprite sheet into the original gif. Make sure that the new sprite sheet is one of the first eight images or it won't appear in the game. In GM, just make sure it's labeled as subimage0-7, in Gimp, make sure it's one of the bottom eight frames in the layer window. You can put as many sheets into the gfx gif as you want, just move the ones you want to see to the right positions, but try to avoid having an exorbitant number of sheets in each gif as it may increase loading time.
